We pick you up at your hotel in central Ica between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m. and drive you to El Chaco pier in Paracas. There you board a speedboat for about 2 hours around the Ballestas Islands, passing the Candelabra geoglyph and seeing sea lions, seabirds and Humboldt penguins.
Next you head inland to Humay to walk through Tambo Colorado, one of the most important Inca centers on the coast, with very well preserved adobe walls, and finish at Morón Lagoon, blue-green water surrounded by dunes. You are back in Ica between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. If the port authority closes the pier, the Ballestas part is replaced with the Paracas National Reserve.
